Open Computing Solutions is founded on the principle that high quality education and training be accessible to all at a reasonable cost. It should prepare the student to use the recently gained knowledge in an effective and profitable manner. For individual students, this means becoming more productive with new skills which lead to higher pay. For an IT organization, this means employing the new knowledge to improve internal productivity or execute projects with higher quality and confidence. For a marketing or ad agency, it means adding digital marketing to the portfolio of services offered, which leads to a better and more complete experience for your customers. For the entrepreneur or consultant, it means monetizing the new knowledge by free lancing or starting a new consultancy.

Open Computing Institute was founded in 2009 by US educated academics and entrepreneurs, with an eye on quality and cost. We believe that the need for open computing, especially for open source consulting, will continue to rise exponentially through out the world, and especially in Asia. This growth is creating demand for well-trained professionals who can think critically, build and deploy cost-effective solutions. These solutions need to perform well, scale as required, be properly architected and configured.

All our courses have two components: a certificate of completion for the theory, and a grade for the practical hands-on project. Our mains goals are to make sure students understand concepts and also help you in raising your market value. You will have the opportunity to work with live projects (when meaningful), or work hands-on life-like projects of significant complexity. You will be given all requisite tools to build your project, and the final project will be available to you online for a 12 month period so you can showcase your capabilities to potential employers. We also provide students with online learning tools, including forums and blogs where they can interact with previous institute students and professors. All students will be offered assistance with placement if requested. The most promising students may be offered an internship with our parent organization or other affiliated companies.
